<br /> MINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERN N(
<br /> OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNIN
<br /> OCTOBER 1, 1983, AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30,
<br /> 1984, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS
<br /> FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE, TO REVISE
<br /> SAID ESTIMATES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS;
<br /> ADOPTING SAID REVISIONS AND REAPPROPRIATIONS
<br /> AND DECLARING AN EilERGENCY.
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, after notice and public hearing, adopted the budget
<br />for said City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1983
<br />and ending September 30, 1984, by Ordinance 1983-45 on Sep-
<br />tember 12, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, that budget appropriated funds contained in
<br />Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 15; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after publication of notice on August 5, 1983,
<br />the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a
<br />public hearing on August 15, 1983, on the budget proposed
<br />by the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year be-
<br />ginning October 1, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons
<br />were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item
<br />or the amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, public hearings to consider proposed uses of
<br />Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 15 funds were held on August 1,
<br />1983 and on August 15, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after said public hearings, the City Council
<br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for
<br />said City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1983 and
<br />ending September 30, 1984, on September 12, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of
<br />the expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal govern-
<br />ment for said fiscal year and appropriated money for the
<br />various funds and purposes of such estimate; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br />Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council
<br />declares that a public necessity exists, which requires
<br />amendment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1983-45 adopted September 12,
<br />1983 which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense of
<br />conducting each administrative unit of the municipal govern-
<br />ment of said City for the fiscal year beginning October 1,
<br />1983 and ending on September 30, 1984, and appropriated money
<br />for the various funds and purposes of such estimate, be amended
<br />as set forth in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and incor-
<br />porated herein for all intents and purposes.
