<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE 1983-45 ADOPTED
<br /> SEPTEMBER 12, 1983 WHICH SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED
<br /> ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH
<br /> ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF
<br /> SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1,
<br /> 1983, AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1984, AND
<br /> APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND
<br /> PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE ,TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES
<br /> AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS; AMENDING ORDINANCE
<br /> 1982-41 WHICH DETERMINED APPROPRIATIONS FOR REVENUE
<br /> SHARING ENTITLEMENT NO. 14; ADOPTING SAID
<br /> REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
<br /> WHEREAS, after publication of notice on August 5, 1983,
<br />the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a
<br />public hearing on August 15, 1983, on the budget proposed by
<br />the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning
<br />October I, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons
<br />were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item
<br />or the amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, public hearings to consider proposed uses of
<br />Revenue Shar ing Entitlement No. 15 funds were held on August
<br />I, 1983, and August 15, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after said public hearings, the City Council of
<br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for said
<br />City for the fiscal year beginning October I, 1983, and
<br />ending on September 30, 1984, on September 12, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br />expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for
<br />said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds
<br />and purposes of such estimate; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after notice and public hearing, on September
<br />7, 1982, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br />by Ordinance 1982-41 adopted the budget for said City for the
<br />fiscal year beginning October 1, 1982 and ending on September
<br />30, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget determined appropriations for funds
<br />received as Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 14; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said City Council finds and determines that a
<br />public necessity exists which requires reappropriation of the
<br />funds from Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 14; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br />Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council
<br />declares that a public necessity exists, which requires
<br />amendment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS:
<br /> SECfION 1. That Ordinance 1983-45, adopted September
<br />12, 1983, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense
<br />of conducting each administrative unit of the municipal
<br />government of said City for the fiscal year beginning October
<br />I, 1983, and ending on September 30, 1984, and appropriated
<br />money for the various funds and purposes of such estimate,
<br />be, and the same is hereby, amended as set forth in Exhibit A
<br />which is attached hereto and is incorporated herein, in words
<br />and figures as shown therein, for all intents and purposes.
