<br /> ll5 <br /> RESOLUTION 1983-2R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN r1ARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING FI- <br /> NAL PAYMENT TO STOKES CONSTRUCTION COM- <br /> PANY OF SAN 11ARCOS, TEXAS, FOR GENERAL <br /> CONSTRUCTION WORK ON THE ADDITION OF FIRE <br /> STATION #3 LOCATED AT BUGG LANE AND HOUS- <br /> TON ROAD IN SAID CITY; ACCEPTING SAID AD- <br /> DITION FOR USE BY SAID CITY; AUTHORIZING <br /> FINAL PAYMENT IN THE AJ10UNT OF $1,813.32 <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, has engaged <br /> the services of Stokes Construction Company of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, for the construction of an addition to Fire Sta- <br /> tion #3 in said city, said fire station being located <br /> at the intersection of Bugg Lane and Houston Road in <br /> said city; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said construction services were provided <br /> pursuant to a contract between the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, and Stokes Construction Company entered into on <br /> November 1, 1982; and, <br /> WHEREAS, on January 11, 1983, Bill McCauley, Super- <br /> intendent of Public Works for the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, conducted a final inspection of said project and <br /> found said construction to have been completed in sub- <br /> stantial compliance with the terms and conditions of <br /> said contract of November 1, 1982 between Stokes Con- <br /> struction Company and said city; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> Ì-'lARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That construction on the addition to Fire <br /> Station #3 in the City of San Marcos, Texas, has been com- <br /> pleted in substantial compliance with that contract of <br /> November 1, 1982, between Stokes Construction Company and <br /> the City of San r1arcos, Texas, and said addition is here- <br /> by accepted for use by the City of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> PART 2. That final payment in the amount of $1,813.32 <br /> to Stokes Construction Company, in full and final payment <br /> for general construction work on the addition to Fire Sta- <br /> tion #3 located at the intersection of Bugg Lane and Hous- <br /> ton Road in the City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby auth- <br /> orized. <br /> PART 3.
