Call To Order <br />5:00 PM City Council Chambers <br />630 E. Hopkins <br />With a quorum present, the regular meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Daniel Guerrero at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 in the City Council Chambers, <br />630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Council Member Thomason arrived after roll call at 5:04 p.m. <br />Present: 7 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Mayor Pro -Tem John Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern <br />Wayne Becak, Council Member Ryan Thomason, Council Member Shane Scott, <br />Council Member Jude Prather and Council Member Lisa Prewitt <br />III. EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />1. 5:OOPM <br />Executive Session in accordance with Section §551.072 of the Texas Government <br />Code: Real Property - to receive an update and deliberate regarding the proposed <br />acquisition of the SMCISD property at 511 Burleson; and in accordance with Section <br />§551.072 of the Texas Government Code: Real Property - to receive an update <br />regarding City real estate comprised of three tracts of land known as the "Leah Tract," <br />comprised of a 1.378 acre tract out of the J.M. Veramendi Survey No. 1, Abstract No. <br />17, a 25.05 acre tract, being Lot 1 of the Cottonwood Parkway Addition and a 1.36 <br />acre tract, being Lot 10A of the Municipal Airport Subdivision; and in accordance with <br />Section §551.086 of the Texas Government Code: Public Power Utility Competitive <br />Matters - to receive an update on the LCRA Ferguson Power Plant and Power Cost <br />Recovery Factor. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Guerrero, seconded by Council Member Scott, to enter closed <br />session at approximately 5:03 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 6 - Mayor Guerrero, Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Becak, <br />Council Member Scott, Council Member Prather and Council Member Prewitt <br />Against: 0 <br />Absent: 1 - Council Member Thomason <br />2.
