<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2007 - 14 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE TRAFFIC <br />REGISTER MAINTAINED UNDER SECTION 82.067 OF THE <br />SAN MARCOS CITY CODE BY THE ADDITION OF TIME- <br />RESTRICTED PARKING ALONG THE 1400 BLOCK OF <br />ALAMO AND COX STREETS, INCLUDING PROCEDURAL <br />PROVISIONS; ESTABLISHING A TOW-AWAY lONE; <br />PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The Traffic Register, required by Section 82.067 of the City Code of Ordinances, <br />needs to be amended to include hours of restricted street parking along the 1400 block of <br />Alamo and Cox Streets in the Holland Hills neighborhood for the purpose of prohibiting <br />student parking in the residential neighborhood. The additional parking is a result of spill <br />over parking from parking restrictions previously placed in the Alamo Heights neighborhood. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: Pursuant to Sections 82.160 and 82.161 of the City of San Marcos <br />Code of Ordinances, the Traffic Register maintained under 86.067 of the City Code is <br />amended by adding the following time restricted parking and tow-away zones: <br /> <br />1400 Block of Alamo Street, both sides, establish a time restricted parking zone <br />Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; and, Friday from 8:30 a.m. <br />to 12:30 p.m. <br /> <br />1400 Block of Cox Street, both sides, establish a time restricted parking zone <br />Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; and, Friday from 8:30 a.m. <br />to 12:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Tow-Away lones are established for the 1400 Block of Alamo and Cox Streets. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance <br />is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other <br />provisions of this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the <br />invalid portion. <br /> <br />SECTION 3: All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in <br />conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br />
