109 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAY 23, 1988 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tern Council Members Fred Guerra Billy G. Kyle, Helen VanGundy, Jane Hughson, Steve Smith, Andrew Gary, Dan Gibson, Nina Pryatel, Larry Brinkmeyer, Nick Caruso, Jim Gandy, Jack Cates, Ben Ford, Shirley Wickersham, Joe Dobie, R. G. Phillips, Frank Rich, and others. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held May 9, 1988. Mr. Plummer moved for approval of the minutes and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held May 9, 1988. Mr. Hernandez moved for approval of the minutes and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unani- mously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held May 16, 1988. Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the minutes and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unani- mously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the Main Street Advisory Board. Mayor Morris nominated Nova Fester- van (banking association), Mr. Moore nominated Betsy Martindale (at large) and Mr. Plummer nominated Gabi Cusack (downtown business). Ms. Kissler moved to appoint Nova Festervan (term expiring 1990), Betsy Martindale (term expiring 1989, completing vacancy) and Gabi Cusack (term expir- ing 1990) and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unani- mously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals (Alternate 2, term expir- ing July, 1988, to complete vacancy). Mr. Guerra moved to appoint Gerald G. Farr and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unani- mously. * Mr. Brown not present at this meeting.
