35 MINUTES OF TEE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ThE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JANUARY 12, 1987 PRESENT: Mayor J. E. Younger Mayor Pro-Tem Council Members Betty Jane Kissler Karl W. Rankins Myron Galchutt Frank Robbins Steve Jenkins George Boeker Donna Farley Also Present: Mark Hendricks, Dan Smith, Melissa Millecam, Jeff Eill, Charles Schwart, Patsy Greiner, Ronnie Bagley, David Williford, Bob Tintsman, Ben Ford and others. Mayor Younger called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held December 15, 1986. Mr. Farr moved for approval and Mr. Drown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held January 7,1987. Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the minutes and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call the fol- lowing vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Younger, Guerra, Nicola. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Kissler. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the appoint- ments to the Airport Commission. Mr. Guerra moved for the ap- pointment of Kennard Moss, Bennie Blansett, John Anderson, McBride \~ilson for reappointment and Bob Shearer for reappointment, and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. It was consensus of the Council not to waive the policy adopted by Resolution of the Council January 12, 1981 to allow any Board Member to serve more than two consecutive terms. Stanley Ault had served two full terms on the Airport Com- mission and the Council determined not to make an exception to the policy for Dr. Ault to continue serving on the Board, as there were many Boards of the City that would desire the same exception. The Council voted unanimously for appointment of Messrs. Moss, Blansett and Anderson and reappointment of Messrs. Wilson and Shearer. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Historic Preservation Commission. Mr. Farr moved to reappoint Martha Latta (architect) and Mayor Younger seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. * Mr. Coddington was not present at this meeting.
