2 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAY 11, 1987 Present: Mayor Mayor Pro-Tern Council Members J. E. Younger Gerald G. Farr *Karl W. Ripps Frank Robbins George Boeker Others present: Karen Cross, Carl Deal, Lysa Bryant, Mark Hendricks, Dan Smith, Mike Bryant, Melissa Millecam, Jim Gandy, Jack Lindstrom, Weldon Polzin, Mark Watson, Jody Dodd, Roy Jacks, Jeri Zerr, Ron Hart, Jeff Hill and others. Mayor Younger called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held April 27, 1987. Mr. Guerra moved for approval and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion which passed unanimously. (Mr. Farr was out of the Council Chambers at this time). Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held April 27, 1987. Ms. Kissler moved for approval and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion which passed unanimously. (Messrs. Farr and Guerra out of the Council Chambers at this time). Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held May 4, 1987. Ms. Kissler moved for approval and Mayor Younger seconded the motion which passed unanimously. (Messrs. Farr and Guerra out of the Council Chambers at this time). Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held May 6, 1987. ~1r. Brown moved for approval and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE Brown, Guerra, Younger, Hernandez, Kissler NAY None ABSTAIN Nicola (Mr. Farr was out of the Council Chambers at this time). Mayor Younger introduced a presentation by the Hays County Bar Association. Mr. Jeff Hill approached the podeum. He read a Resolution adopted by the Hays County Bar Association opposing the City Council's support of the Municipal Court being a Court of Record. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of appointment to the Commission For Women. Mr. Guerra moved to table any nominations to the Commission and to place this item on the next agenda for discussion of reduction of members by attrition and Mr. Nicola seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of appointment to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Mr. Brown moved to let the al- ternate members serve and table any new appointments to Board until clari- fication of the role and function of the Board could be explained and * Mr. Brown pre~ent at 7:40 þ.~.
