10 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FEBRUARY 9, 1987 PRESENT: Mayor J. E. Younger Mayor Pro-Tern Council Members Betty Jane Kissler Karl W. Brown Bill Coddington Gerald G. Farr Fred Guerra William C. Nicola City Manager City Secretary City Attorney Police Chief Director of Planning Director of Parks and Recreation Acting Director of Finance A. C. Gonzalez Janis K. Womack Lamar W. Hankins Myron Galchutt Frank Robbins Rodney Cobb Donna Farley Also Present: Judy Mitchell, Steve Smith, Mark Hendricks, Jim Gandy, Shirley Wickersham, Garland Stokes, Melissa Millecam, Joe Garcia, Sarah Bailey, Nelvia Burleson, Augustin Lucio, Roddy Bagley, Jorge Rodriguez, Ricky Hernandez, Debbie Niemeier, Rose Brooks, Alphonso Washington and others. Mayor Younger called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held January 26, 1987. Mr. Coddington moved for approval of the minutes and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held February 2, 1987. Ms. Kissler moved for ap- proval of the minutes and Mayor Younger seconded the motion. Mr. Nicola requested the minutes be corrected in the last sentence on Page 2 to read: "Mr. Nicola stated he would try to communicate with other Council Members. . . ." On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Coddington, NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Brøwn. Farr, Yolli1ger, Guerra, Kissler, Nicola. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to the Senior Citizens Advisory Board. Mr. Nicola moved to appoint Weldon Polzin for a two-year full-term appointment and Mr. Coddington moved to appoint Lupe Flores to the vacancy of Shirley Wickersham, and Mayor Younger seconded the appointments, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to complete the vacancy of Ricky Hernandez on the Zoning Commission. Mr. Nicola moved to appoint Eugene Hildebrandt and Mr. Guerra moved to appoint Joe Garcia.
