7 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAY 24, 1993 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Council Members * Billy G. Moore ! Robert Mooney ! Ronald K. Langenkamp Director of Finance Bill White Also Present: Collette Duran, Kim Adams, Bob Ronson, Colette Davis, Melissa Millecam, Phil Neighbors, Reed Walker, Kim Bradley, Jane Hughson and others. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced the canvassing of the returns of the Special Runoff Election held May 22; 1993. The Council canvassed the returns of the election. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULTS OF THE RUNOFF ELECTION HELD ON MAY 22, 1993 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, PLACE THREE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to amend the Ordinance in Section 3 to add the name of Robert Mooney and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris issued a Certificate of Election to the elected City Council Member, Place Three, Robert Mooney and then administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Mooney. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration the election of the Mayor Pro-Tempore. Mr. Moore moved to appoint Bill Plummer as Mayor Pro-Tempore and Mr. Hart seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Moore, Mooney, Hart, Morris, Guerra, Cox. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Plummer. * Mr. Moore present at 7:38 p.m. ** Mr. Hernandez not present at this meeting.
