<br />Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
<br />
<br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three
<br />appointments to the Mayor's Commission on Youth. Ms. Kissler moved
<br />to appoint Brian Brown (student) and Mr. Moore moved to appoint Nora
<br />Hennessy (student), which passed unànimously. Mr. Guerra needs to
<br />appoint a student at the next Council Meeting.
<br />
<br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of one
<br />appointment to complete a vacancy on the Commission for Women. Mr.
<br />Moore moved to appoint Jill Ellsworth, which passed unanimously.
<br />
<br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of two
<br />appointments to the Historic Preservation Commission. Mr. Plummer
<br />moved to appoint Gwen Smith as citizen at large and appoint Ron
<br />Balderach as architect, which passed unanimously.
<br />
<br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of fifteen
<br />appointments to the Convention Facility/Recreation Facility Task
<br />Force. Mr. Moore moved to appoint Joe Castillo and Richard Cruz,
<br />Mr. Hernandez moved to appoint Norma Lopez and Tony Garza, Mr. Hart
<br />moved to appoint Ron Balderach and Cymbre Wicker, Mayor Morris moved
<br />to appoint Larry DuPont, Nancy Moore and Denise Harris, Mr. Guerra
<br />moved to appoint Jane Hughson and John Wade, Ms. Kissler moved to
<br />appoint Bob Goss and Jack Lindstrom, and Mr. Plummer moved to
<br />appoint Ron Jager and Mo Johnson, which passed unanimously.

<br />- Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing.and
<br />I adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows:

<br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF
<br />THE CITY, FROM PERMANENT OPEN SPACE AND/OR FLOODPLAIN TO PUBLIC
<br />FOR 72.2 ACRES OF LAND AREA SITUATED IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI
<br />SURVEY NO.2, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, CONSISTING OF 12.2 ACRE, 20.0
<br />ACRE AND 40.0 ACRE TRACTS OF LAND, DESCRIBED RESPECTIVELY, IN
<br />DEEDS TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS DATED DECEMBER 30, 1967 AND
<br />RECORDED IN VOLUME 221, PAGE 371, DATED APRIL 23, 1982 AND
<br />RECORDED IN VOLUME 374, PAGE 249, AND DATED JULY 26, 1982 AND
<br />RECORDED IN VOLUME 378, PAGE 558, ALL IN THE HAYS COUNTY DEED
<br />RECORDS, LOCATED ON THE SOUTHEAST SIDE OF THE 700 BLOCK OF
<br />RIVERSIDE DRIVE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
