Health Terry Ewald <br /> Director of Engineering Stephen Jenkins <br /> Director of Airport Jack Doughty <br /> Director of MIS Ramona Brown <br /> Director of Finance Bill White <br /> Director of WIC Eddie Ortega <br /> Director of Parks & Recreation Rodney Cobb <br /> Fire Chief Dan O'Leary <br /> Director of Public Works George Boeker <br /> Director of SMEU Bob Higgs <br />Also Present: Kim McCollum, Robert Cotner, Bill cunningham, <br />Jane Hughson, Melissa Millecam, cheryl Boyd, Kim Bradley, Reg <br />Todd, Colette Davis, Terry ,Jester, Kelly Franks, Frank <br />Rodriquez, George Von Der Lippe, Charles Soechting, Lupe <br />Carbajal, Kelly Kilber, Frances Stovall, Brad Ambrose, Jane <br />Cole, Linda Gilcrease and others. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which <br />was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX A-GENERAL ZONING <br /> ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY BY <br /> AMENDING SECTION 26 (B) REGARDING THE ADDITION OF <br /> FRATERNITY AND SORORITY BUILDINGS AS A SPECIFIC USE IN THE <br /> PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT, AND BY AMENDING SECTION <br /> 35 (G) AND (H) REGARDING THE SPECIFIC USE PERMIT PROCEDURE <br /> AND STANDARDS FOR FRATERNITY AND SORORITY BUILDINGS; <br /> PROVIDING FOR APPLICATION OF THE PERMIT PROCEDURES AND <br /> STANDARDS TO EXISTING FRATERNITY AND SORORITY BUILDINGS; <br /> REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY; <br /> PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br />Mr. Moore moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading <br />and Mr. Hart seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to make <br />the following amendments: section 2(4) (c) to read "The use of <br />fraternity/sorority buildings and premises shall comply. II <br /> . . , <br />and section 2(4) (c)l.e ". . . abutting other lots. The maximum <br />number of persons on the premises at one time shall not exceed <br />the limit established by the Zoning Commission (two points). II <br />section 2(4) (c)9 "Activities shall not occur on the premises of <br />the fraternity/sorority building which result in the issuance. <br />. .," and Section 2(4) (c) 1.0 "Activities shall not occur on the <br />premises of the fraternity/sorority building which result in <br />the II Mr. Hart seconded the motion on the amendments, <br /> . . . <br />which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris opened the public <br />hearing and asked Mr. Bill Cunningham, Chairman of the Zoning <br />commission, to give a brief summary of what the Zoning <br /> * Ms. Womack was not present at this meeting. <br />
