Call To Order <br /> With a quorum present, the visioning workshop of the San Marcos City <br /> Council was called to order by Mayor Guerrero at 9:05 a.m. Thursday, <br /> January 28, 2016 in the events hall of Camp Lucy, 3509 Creek Road, Dripping <br /> Springs, Texas 78620. <br /> II. Roll Call <br /> Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Lisa Prewitt arrived after roll call at 12:35 p.m. due to <br /> attendance at a CARTS meeting. <br /> Present: 7- Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Mayor Pro-Tern John Thomaides, Council Member Jude <br /> Prather, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Lisa Prewitt, Council Member Jane Hughson, <br /> Council Member Melissa Derrick and Council Member Scott Gregson <br /> 1. Hold discussion and participate in Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Visioning Workshop, topics <br /> discussed may or may not include or be limited to: economic development policies, <br /> future infrastructure and facility needs, beautification and community enhancement, <br /> enhancement of core services including future staffing and personnel needs, flood <br /> mitigation strategies, and provide direction to Staff <br /> The City Council held discussion and participated in Fiscal Year 2016-2017 <br /> Visioning Workshop facilitated by Mr. Ron Cox of Ron Cox Consulting. The <br /> Council reviewed the status of the 2015 Visioning Goals, identified and <br /> discussed policy initiatives, identified governance improvements and identified <br /> CounciUStaff discussion topics. <br /> Goal #1 —Assess and Present a Plan for Facilities Planning <br /> • The Facilities Study is nearly complete and Staff will schedule a workshop in <br /> April to review it. <br /> • Inventory of all City owned property complete and Staff delivered the list to <br /> Council. <br /> • ACC/Hays Campus may have shared training facilities. Staff will monitor <br /> the progress to determine usefulness for City uses. <br /> Goal #2—Beautify and Enhance the Quality of Place <br /> City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
