73 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUGUST 28, 1995 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tern * Robert Mooney Council Members Billy G. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced the Citizen comment period. No one signed up to speak. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY FROM COMMERCIAL TO INDUSTRIAL FOR A 2.76 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2525 INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 SOUTH AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 2.76 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2525 INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 SOUTH FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO "LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: * Messrs. Mooney and Hernandez not present at this meeting. Mr. Guerra present at 7:49 p.m.
