Mr. Felix Regna, Jr. stated he <br />was in the process of opening a cleaning service in San Marcos, and had been having <br />difficulty with the Planning Department. He stated he submitted plans to Jim Parris and <br />they were rejected because they were not architecturally drawn. He stated Mr. Parris <br />had given him the wrong information and he was in the process of resubmitting his <br />plans. He stated he felt like he was not welcomed in San Marcos. Mayor Morris <br />apologized for the inconvenience and explained the procedures to him. Mayor Morris <br />requested he meet with Bob Ronson to help him with the process and Mr. Gilley <br />assured Mr. Regna the City would do everything they could to help him with the proper <br />procedures. Ron Jager addressed the Council regarding the Old Christian Church <br />Building. He stated they had contacted over 700 people and had received pledges of <br />over $27,500.00. Mr. Jager stated the closure of the building was June 28th and there <br />was a two week waiting period for the results. He requested the Council extend the <br />deadline for pledges to July 15. The Council agreed to extend the deadline and bring <br />the item to the July 26, 1995 City Council meeting. Marie Jager withdrew her request <br />to speak to the Council. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the <br />Cemetery Commission. Mr. Hernandez moved to appoint Richard Arredondo and Mr. <br />Guerra moved to reappoint AI McGehee and Dianne Pape, which passed unanimously. <br />* Janis K.
