Marsha Moore, <br />representing the Junior Service League, listed some of the <br />accomplishments of the JSL, and requested the City council remove <br />Item 9.D. (7) from the consensus agenda to vote on separately. She <br />stated with the ISTEA grant JSL could do more with their thrift <br />shop, and the grant could also economically impact neighborhoods. <br />Tom Roach stated he wants to talk regarding the Drainage Master Plan <br />public hearing rather than during the comment period. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of one <br />appointment to the San Marcos Electric utility Board. Mr. Moore <br />moved to appoint Felix Turango, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of four <br />appointments to the Human Services Advisory Board. Mayor Morris <br />moved to reappoint Mary Cauble, reappoint Dolores crittendon, <br />reappoint Ollie Giles, and reappoint Virginia Romero, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of nine <br />appointments to the Planning and zoning commission (combines the <br />Planning commission and Zoning Commission as one commission as <br />approved by Charter Amendment in May, 1994). Mr. Moore moved to <br />appoint Jane Hughson, Aart Millecam and Alice Lochman, Mr. Mooney <br />moved to appoint Linda Keese, Mr. Hart moved to appoint Leslie <br />Saucedo, Mayor Morris moved appoint Mike Davis (lives in ETJ) and <br />John Wade, and Mr. Cox moved to appoint Rachel Vasquez and Alice <br />Lochman. In Mr. Hernandez' absence, Mayor Morris accepted the name <br />; of John Diaz (lives in ETJ) to be considered by the Council. The <br />Council was directed to vote for only one member in the ETJ and <br />seven names in the city (one more appointment still to be made at <br />a future meeting).
