64 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAY 9,1994 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tem Fred Guerra Council Members Billy G. Taylor Director of Public Works George Boeker Director of Finance Bill White Director of WIC Eddie Ortega Director of Library Stephanie Langenkamp Police Chief Larry Kendrick Fire Chief Dan O'Leary Director of Airport Jack Doughty Director of Parks & Recreation Rodney Cobb Also Present: Scott Maiers, Bob Ronson, Collette Duran, Colette Davis, Kim Doherty, Kim Porterfield, John Holterman, Bill Haney, Phil Neighbors, Richard Medina, Judy Rennick and others. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced the ten-minute citizen comment period with the City Council. There were no speakers. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Main Street Advisory Board. Mayor Morris made a motion to appoint Bill Plummer for the At-Large position and Joe Cox as the Mayor's designee, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Mayor Morris made a motion to appoint Betty Robinson for the Citizen-at-Large position, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1993-1994 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR RECLASSIFICATION OF THE RECORDS ASSISTANT POSITION IN THE CITY SECRETARY'S OFFICE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: * Mr. Mooney not present at this meeting.
