Taylor <br />Municipal Court Judge Ross Allegro <br />Director of Planning and Developmental Services Ron Patterson <br />Director of Finance Bill White <br />Director of Engineering Stephen Jenkins <br />Director of Parks and Recreation Rodney Cobb <br />Fire Chief Dan O'Leary <br />Director of Airport Jack Doughty <br />Director of Environmental Health Terry Ewald <br />Director of MIS Ramona Brown <br />Police Chief Larry Kendrick <br />Others Present: Collette Duran, Melissa Millecam, Mario Gutierrez, William Ford, Kelly Franks, <br />Roger Fernandez, Hector Montenegro, Phil Neighbors, Monty Nitchalous, Dan Wegmiller, Dan <br />Gibson, Scott Maier, Jack Clement, Kyle Hahn, Robbie Robbins, and others. <br />Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mr. Loren Alexander, Regional Vice President with Waste Management representing Longhorn <br />Disposal, requested the City Council receive competitive proposals regarding solid waste <br />management service. He stated the current contract has been in existence for many years and <br />would like to see the Council receive new proposals. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of appointments to the Mayor's Blue <br />Ribbon Bond Committee. Mr. Mihalkanin nominated John Cooper, Dan Gibson and Ralph <br />Gonzales, Mayor Moore nominated Ronald Pope to represent the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission, Mr. Cox nominated Rose Brooks and James "Tug" Wilson and Mr. Hernandez <br />nominated Joe Castillo, which passed unanimously. Mayor Moore requested the remainder of <br />the appointments be made at the next Council Meeting. <br />Mayor Moore introduced a public hearing and approval of an Ordinance on second reading, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, REPLACING THE TARIFF FOR WATER SERVICE FOR CUSTOMERS OF <br />THE ELIM WATER COMPANY, INC., WITH THE RATES, FEES, CHARGES AND <br />BILLING PROCEDURES APPLICABLE TO THE CITY'S WATER SYSTEM; <br />PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br />Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did so <br />Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Cox moved for approval of the Ordinance on <br />second reading and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />' Mr. Guerra not present at this meeting.
