Gilley <br />Assistant City Manager Laura Huffman <br />City Secretary Janis K. Womack <br />City Attorney Mark B. Taylor <br />Municipal Court Judge Ross Allegro <br />Director of Enaineering Stephen Jenkins <br />Director of StiIEU Bob Higgs <br />Director of Parks and Recreation Rodney Cobb <br />Director of Airport Jack Doughty <br />Director of Public Works George Boeker <br />Others Present: Kim Doherty, Collette Duran, Kelly Franks, Dan Nelson, Ed Theriot, Todd <br />Derkacz, Ron and Marie Jager, Scott Maier, Marcy McCollum, John and Marsha Cooper, Joe <br />Castillo, Wade Butler, Will West, Cathy Dillon, Jare Smith, Ardin Meagher, Marva Filla, Cat <br />Tracey, Rob Robinson and others. <br />Mayor Vloore called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Moore introduced the citizen comment period. Jare Smith stated she was representing <br />several residents of Blanco Street and would like to see the following: 1) Contractor meet with <br />City tilanager tomorrow to set a completion date. 2) City. Manager report to City Council by <br />noon Wednesday the results of the meeting. 3) City Manager report to residents of Blanco Street <br />by 3:00 p.m. Wednesday. 4) City Manager park his vehicle on San Antonio Street and walk to <br />Mrs. Latta's house and apologize. 5) City Council be responsible for completing Blanco Street. <br />Aedin Meagher handed out a memo to the Council and stated the City Council has never <br />contacted any resident of Blanco Street regarding the construction situation. She stated the City <br />needs to reach an agreement with the contractor or hire a new one to complete the job as soon as <br />possible. ?Marva Filla, Soccer Association, stated they would like to clarify they appreciate the <br />City's Parks and Recreation Department and the job they do on their excellent playing fields, <br />however; they would like the Council to approve CDBG funding for lighting of the fields. Cat <br />Tracey stated he would like an answer from the City staff when B <br />C? 1.7 lanco Street would be <br />completed. Rob Robinson, Downtown Association, stated he would like to discuss downtown <br />tourism and the reports to the Council later in the meeting. <br />Mayor ;Moore introduced for consideration approval of a board appointment to the Main Street <br />Advisory Board. Mr. Vlihalkanin moved to appoint Mike Gillham for the At-Large position and <br />move Joe Castillo as the Hispanic Chamber representative, which passed unanimously. <br />itilayor tiloore introduced for consideration approval of two board appointments to the Ethics <br />Review Commission. VIs. Hughson moved to appoint Robbie Sanders and Mayor Moore moved <br />to appoint Shirley Austin, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Vloore introduced for consideration approval of four board appointments to the Citizen <br />Review Commission. Mr. Hart moved to reappoint Wayland Endsley, Mr. Cox moved to <br />appoint Jerry Sebek and Nis. Hughson moved to appoint George Ryan, which passed <br />unanimously. Mr. Guerra stated he would defer his appointment until the next meeting.
