Womack <br />Mark Taylor <br />Dan O'Leary <br />George Boeker <br />Ron Patterson <br />Also Present: Sarah Alvarez, John Cooper, Marsha Cooper, Lupe <br />Castillo, David Chiu, Hector Montenegro, Bernard Callender, Kim <br />Porterfield, Melissa Millecam, Collette Duran, Randall Morris, <br />Gwen Smith, Johnnie Armstead, John Holtermann, Kathy Carl, Phil <br />Neighbors, Jack Clements, Bob Ronson, Mario Gutierrez, Tom <br />Wassenich, Dianne Wassenich and others. <br />Mayor Moore called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Mayor Moore introduced the Citizen comment period. (1) George <br />Brooks stated he was a disabled veteran, and because of <br />seizures, had to give up his license to drive. He made <br />reference to two instances with EMS and the Police assaulting <br />him and has made this information known to the City and has <br />received no response and feels there is no accountability for <br />their actions. Now as a pedestrian he has experienced numerous <br />encounters with moving vehicles. He provided the City with a <br />17-minute video regarding problems experienced walking in high <br />traffic areas. He recommends in high traffic areas, the Council <br />consider placing more police and not allowing right-hand turns. <br />(2) The Frisbie family, Patricia, Mike (son) and Dick, stated <br />they have had ongoing sewage, drainage and flood problems at <br />their home located at 418 Moore Street. They submitted a claim <br />against the City in 1994 and TML denied the claim. They <br />requested they be provided assistance through the flood <br />mitigation program. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of four <br />appointments to the Airport Commission. Mr. Mihalkanin moved to <br />appoint Jack Eby (in), Ms. Hughson moved to reappoint Fray <br />Stokes (in)and reappoint Jim Tidwell (in), and Mr. Moseley moved <br />to appoint Gregory Moore (out), which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration approval of four <br />appointments to the Historic Preservation Commission. Mr. <br />Mihalkanin moved to appoint Francile Blue (San Antonio Street) <br />and reappoint Bobbi Carmichael (Downtown), Ms. Hughson and Mr. <br />Cox moved to appoint Laura Payne (At Large), and Mayor Moore
