Mark Barnett stated his <br />concern regarding the one-way to two-way change creating difficulties. To move the parking lot <br />would not be a remedy and spoke against changing to two-way streets. He would like it to <br />remain as is. 2. Paul Evans, who owns a business on LBJ at Cheatham Street, stated he enjoys <br />the traffic by his business and the neighboring businesses. If the change occurred on LBJ Street <br />it would congest the area. 3. Byron Johnson, owner of Sun Busters Auto Tint, stated he' is <br />opposed to the change on LBJ Street and is afraid if an accident occurred it would tie up traffic in <br />that area. 4. Dianne Wassenich stated her concern regarding the removal of Austin's ETJ from <br />Hays County. Her concern is how Hays County is trying to get around regulations of protecting <br />natural resources and she would like for the City Council to protect the natural resources. 5. <br />Rob Robinson stated his support of the two-way streets and thinks the issues are legitimate but he <br />would like the issue to be left open for awhile. 6. Allyn Gill stated his concerns for the two-way <br />conversion and the benefit for <br />San Marcos is what needs to be considered. In 1971 the change to one-way was done to alleviate <br />congestion and the traffic has doubled since then. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the San Marcos Electrical Board. <br />Mr. Mihalkanin moved to appoint Cecil Cowan and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 1.38 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1328 I.H. 35 NORTH FROM <br />* Mr. Doiron not present at this meeting. <br />
