(1) Felix Reyna <br />requested help from the Council in acquiring his certificate of occupancy <br />and the difficulties he has had with inspections. (2) Lillian Washington <br />stated she has been a resident of San Marcos for 24 years. Her home is in <br />the 100-year floodplain and was flooded in October. She has been advised <br />she cannot move back into her home unless it is elevated. She wants the <br />City to buy her home at market value and wants her application for <br />assistance to be considered. <br />Mr. Cox introduced for consideration approval of eight appointments to the <br />Main Street Advisory Board. Mr. Mihalkanin moved to reappoint Joe B. Cox, <br />Jr. (Council representative), reappoint Joe Garza (at large), reappoint <br />David Hammons (marketing), reappoint Bob Sappington (heritage), reappoint <br />Viola Stillman (downtown), reappoint Larkin Smith (downtown) and appoint <br />John Cooper (downtown), which passed unanimously. The eighth appointment <br />will be rescheduled (Kathi Castoldi was unable to be reached regarding her <br />appointment). <br />Mr. Cox introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the <br />Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Mr. Doiron moved to <br />reappoint Carlos Hernandez (architect) and reappoint Wesley Nichols <br />(general contractor), which passed unanimously. The remaining appointment <br />of a general contractor will be rescheduled. <br />Mr. Cox introduced for consideration one appointment to complete a vacancy <br />on the Downtown Parking Advisory Board. Ms. Hughson moved to appoint Ron <br />Knott as the Hays representative, which passed unanimously. <br />* Mayor Moore not present at this meeting.
