Michelle Burleson, owner of <br />American Maid Service, stated they were the low bidder for the janitorial services contract and <br />was not aware there was a problem with their current work. Rose Brooks, consultant to <br />American Maid Service, stated she was not in favor of the Council paying more money for <br />janitorial services. She stated she has done lots of work for the City of San Marcos. Brian <br />Burleson, owner of American Maid Service, stated they responded to calls from Ken Clayboum <br />each time he contacted them. He stated he did not receive any complaints through the three year <br />period of their contract until the last eight months. He stated he did not think they were being <br />treated fairly. Ruben Brooks stated he hopes the Council will reconsider their contract award. <br />He stated he is in charge of cleaning five buildings and he is always accessible and available to <br />clean when contacted. Charles Soechting, stated he thinks the buildings are being well kept and <br />did not think the Council should award more money to an out-of-town contractor. Catherine <br />Glesen explained she lives in the Westover Addition and would like to see a stop sign at <br />Dartmouth Street and Columbia Street. Mr. Gilley stated he would look into the situation. Tom <br />Bonn, representative of Motorola, stated he would defer his questions until the item on the <br />agenda. Craig McFall, resident of Sierra Circle, stated he did not want to see development in the <br />Schulle Canyon area. He explained there were no parks or recreational facilities in the area and <br />development would impact water and sewer. He requested the Council follow the Master Plan <br />and save the area for parkland. Nell Burleson asked the Council to be fair when considering the <br />award of bid for the Janitorial Services and not let personal feelings get involved. Melody <br />Weise, Schulle Canyon area resident, presented the Council with opposition letters for <br />development in that area. She explained it would have an environmental impact on the wildlife <br />in the area, and would like the City to help the neighborhoods protect this greenbelt area. John <br />Ferguson deferred time to Craig McFall. Mr. McFall stated the runoff from this project would
