John P. Crowley stated his <br />support for the surface water plant, but did not see the need for the water and wastewater rates to <br />increase. Saul Gonzales stated that the City does not have a way of monitoring the water. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the Housing Authority Board. <br />Mayor Moore stated the individual to replace Kimberley Wright must be a Housing <br />Representative. Mayor Moore moved to appoint Judy Ferrer, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced a public hearing regarding annexation, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, ANNEXING TO THE CITY A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 152.18 <br />ACRES, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE 1100-1300 BLOCKS OF <br />CLOVIS BARKER ROAD AND THE 1100-1200 BLOCKS OF CIVIC CENTER <br />LOOP; APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR THIS TRACT; PROVIDING FOR <br />PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. There were no <br />speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING SECTIONS 114.001 AND 114.621 OF THE ZONING <br />CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE TO ADD A DEFINITION OF <br />*Mr. Hernandez not present at this meeting. <br />*Ms. Womack not present at this meeting.
