Womack <br />Mark Taylor <br />Steve Griffith <br />Bill White <br />Tom Taggart <br />Dan O'Leary <br /> <br />Also Present: Shelley Goodwin, Joe Castillo, Collette Jamison, Johnnie <br />Armstead, Gwen Smith, John Holtermann, James Frye, Carl Deal, Melissa <br />Millecam, Murlin Evans, Sherri Russell, Diana Finlay, Ed Theriot, Gil <br />Peyton and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced the Citizen comment period. Pat Tessaro of the San <br />Marcos Food Bank stated they requested $10,000 funding from CDBG before <br />the Human Services Advisory Board and were approved by that Board. The <br />funding request is to build a community garden to provide produce for <br />families with summer and fall crops. They have secured a location for the <br />garden behind the Hays County Law Enforcement Center. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to <br />the Cemetery Commission. Mr. Cox moved to appoint Josephine Wiegand and <br />Mr. Mayhew moved to reappoint Dixie Moffitt, which passed unanimously (Ms. <br />Hughson abstaining to the reappointment of Dixie Moffitt, her sister). <br />The remaining appointment will be scheduled at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to <br />the Ethics Review Commission. Ms. Hughson moved to reappoint Mary Cauble, <br />Mr. Cox moved to appoint Susan Tilka, and Ms. Tatum moved to reappoint <br />Candy Walker and reappoint Danny Hurtado, Jr., which passed unanimously. <br />
