Susan Narvaiz stated the <br />BeBop with the Cops is Sunday, April 16,2000 and all proceeds will benefit the Hays County <br />Law Enforcement Museum. 2. Herman Foster stated he would like the Council to support <br />funding to expand the Mitchell Opportunity Center Project from the Community Development <br />Block Grant Funds. The current facility is too crowded and needs to be expanded in order to <br />provide the community with more opportunity. 3. Alphonso Washington stated he would like <br />the Council to support the expansion of the Mitchell Opportunity Center Project from the <br />Community Development Block Grant Funds. He would like the City to contribute to this <br />faci lity in order to enlarge the space needed to accommodate all the children, who are currently <br />on å waiting list. 4. Pastor Paul Buntyn, Abundant Life Ministries, stated he is seeking funds <br />from the Community Development Block Grant Funds for low to moderate income families to <br />provide computer training and transportation. 5. Ruben Garza, Southside Community Center, <br />stated the center has contributed over 70 years of service to San Marcos and would like funding <br />from the Community Block Grant Funds to purchase a van accessible for the handicapped. 6. <br />Gail Field stated her concern of the Animal Shelter and invited citizens to visit the shelter and <br />see it is not up to standard. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration one appointment to the Drainage Advisory Board. <br />Mr. Doiron was not present and will need to make this appointment at the next regular City <br />Council Meeting. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration two appointments to the Senior Citizens Advisory <br />Board. Mr. Hernandez moved to appoint Lillie Ruiz and Mr. Cox moved to appoint Bill <br />Erickson, which passed unanimously. <br />*Mr. Doiron not present at this meeting. <br />
