54 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JUNE 28, 1982 PRESENT: Mayor * Emmie Craddock Mayor Pro-Tem Council Members Karl W. Brown Gerald G. Farr John A. Kreczmer Elida A. Mendez Jaime Moore Tess Norris City Manager City Secretary City Attorney Finance Director Acting Police Chief Fire Chief A. C. Gonzalez Janis K. Womack Barbara Jean Edwards Earl Williams Jesse Guerra Oscar Carpenter Also Present: Gene Hildebrandt, Gregg Echols, Bill Pryatel, Nina Pryatel, Gwen Smith, James W. Smith, Roger Jenkins, Sherry Sanderson and others. Mayor Pro-Tem Karl Brown called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Brown introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held June 14, 1982. Mrs. Norris moved to approve the minutes and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Brown opened a public hearing to consider approval of an applica- tion for issuance of a certificate of public convenience and necessity to Transiti Enterprises, Incorporated (formerly City Taxi). Roger Jenkins, President of the corporation, stated it was advantageous for the owners of City Taxi to incorporate their business but they would still be operating taxis in the name of City Taxi. No one else wished to speak for or against the granting of the application, so Mr. Brown closed the public hearing. Mr. Kreczmer moved for approval of the application for issuance of certificate of public convenience and neces- sity to Transiti Enterprises, Incorporated and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Brown introduced for consideration approval of two nominations to fill uncompleted terms on the Parks and Recreation Board, both terms expiring in January, 1983. Mrs. Norris moved all names submitted to the City Secretary prior to the meeting be placed in nomination, those being Mrs. Ann (Jim) Cauthorn, Maurice "Mo" Johnson, Shirley Wickersham and Lunelle Anderson, and Mr. Farr seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Cauthorn, Anderson. Mr. Maurice "Mo" Johnson and Mrs. Lunelle Anderson were appointed to the Parks and Recreation Board. * Mayor Craddock was not present at this meeting.
