Smith, Roger Jenkins, Sherry Sanderson <br />and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Karl Brown called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held June 14, 1982. Mrs. Norris moved to approve the <br />minutes and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown opened a public hearing to consider approval of an applica- <br />tion for issuance of a certificate of public convenience and necessity <br />to Transiti Enterprises, Incorporated (formerly City Taxi). Roger <br />Jenkins, President of the corporation, stated it was advantageous for <br />the owners of City Taxi to incorporate their business but they would <br />still be operating taxis in the name of City Taxi. No one else wished <br />to speak for or against the granting of the application, so Mr. Brown <br />closed the public hearing. Mr. Kreczmer moved for approval of the <br />application for issuance of certificate of public convenience and neces- <br />sity to Transiti Enterprises, Incorporated and Mrs. Mendez seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown introduced for consideration approval of two nominations to <br />fill uncompleted terms on the Parks and Recreation Board, both terms <br />expiring in January, 1983. Mrs. Norris moved all names submitted to <br />the City Secretary prior to the meeting be placed in nomination, <br />those being Mrs. Ann (Jim) Cauthorn, Maurice "Mo" Johnson, Shirley <br />Wickersham and Lunelle Anderson, and Mr. Farr seconded the motion <br />which passed unanimously.
