2O MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAY 17, 1982 PRESENT: Mayor Emmie Craddock Council Members Karl W. Brown Gerald G. Farr John A. Kreczmer * Elida A. Mendez Jaime Moore Tess Norris City Manager City Secretary City Attorney Director of Public Works Administrative Director Acting Police Chief City Planner A. C. Gonzalez Janis K. Womack Barbara Jean Edwards George Boeker Dinah Elwell Jesse Guerra Joe Garza Also Present: W. C. Carson, Ada Burke, Jim Faucett, Bill and Nina Pryatel, Pat Bethea, Jerri Martin, Julie (KCNY), Sammy Tieg, Bill Harrison, John Anderson, Ray Harper, Bill Taylor and others. Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT ORDINANCE ADOPTED SEP- TEMBER 8, 1981, WHICH SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1981, AND ENDING ON SEP- TEMBER 30, 1982, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE \TAR- IOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS; ADOPT- ING SAID REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES AND DECLARING AN EF- FECTIVE DATE. Mayor Craddock moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Moore, Norris. NAY: Kreczmer. ABSTAIN: None. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to retain the law firm of Brown, Maroney, Rose, Baker and Barber to assist in the Lowman Airfield matter (Stokes, Et A1 vs. City of San Marcos). Mrs. Norris moved for approval to retain the law firm and Mr. Brown se- conded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Moore, Norris. NAY: Kreczmer. ABSTAIN: None. *.~Mrs. Mendez was not present until 5:45 p.m.
