S M�R�os City of San Marcos Work Session Meeting Minutes Q City Council Tuesday, January 18, 2022 I. Call To Order 3:00 PM 630 E. Hopkins - Work Session 630 East Hopkins San Marcos, TX 78666 City Council Chambers/Virtual With a quorum present, the Work Session of the San Marcos City Council was called to order by Mayor Hughson at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2022. The meeting was held in person and online. II. Roll Call Present: 7- Mayor Jane Hughson, Council Member Maxfield Baker, Council Member Saul Gonzales, Mayor Pro Tem Shane Scott, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Alyssa Garza, Council Member Jude Prather and Mayor Mark Gleason III. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period Lisa Marie Coppoletta, spoke about Executive Session, item A, regarding the Becerra Property and the concern she has that this lease agreement is $300.00 when she has been informed the market value $4000.00/month. She expressed concern with this being discussed in executive session since this pertains to tax payer's money. Ms. Coppoletta also expressed concerns with the expectation that citizens should participate in in-person outreach events when city staff and council members don't show up. She would like council members and city staff to show up in person. EXECUTIVE SESSION 1. Executive Session in accordance with the following: A. Sec. §551.072 of the Texas Government Code: Real Property - to discuss potential amendment of a lease agreement with Becerra Corp. of city -owned property located at 201 S. LBJ (intersection of Edward Gary & S. LBJ) B. Sec. §551.072 of the Texas Government Code: Real Property - to discuss a potential lease of the San Marcos Electric Utility building located at 1040 State Hwy 123 C.
