At the January 14, 1991 Regular Meeting <br />three appointments from outside the City limits were inadvertently <br />appointed to the Commission (the Ordinance establishing this <br />Commission allows for as many as two members to live outside the <br />City). Mayor Morris withdrew her nomination of Bob McDonald who <br />lives outside the city limits so the City Council could appoint a <br />member who lives in the City. Mr. Hernandez moved to appoint Bill <br />Vance (who lives in the City), which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment <br />to the Commission for Women to complete a vacancy. Mr. Hart moved <br />to appoint Cathy Dillon to complete a vacancy, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three <br />appointments to the Convention and Visitors Bureau Council. The <br />Convention and Visitors Bureau Council requested the City Council <br />make these appointments in January instead of October each year. <br />These appointments had been made previously at the October 8, 1990 <br />Council Meeting. Mr. Guerra moved to reappoint Ivar Gunnarson, <br />reappoint Lee Hudman as the Representative from the Arts Community, <br />and reappoint Billy Moore, Mayor Pro-Tem, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three <br />appointments to the Human Services Advisory Board. No names were <br />submitted, and this will be rescheduled February 11, 1991. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1990-1991 <br />FISCAL YEAR TO CREATE A TRUST AND AGENCY FUND FOR IMPROVEMENTS <br />WITHIN THE ESTATES OF SAN MARCOS SUBDIVISION; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />* Mr. Plummer present at 9:04 p.m. Mr. Guerra left at 8:45 p.m. <br />
