Phillips and <br />others. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1990-1991 <br />FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR OF <br />THE SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC UTILITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading <br />and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved and Mr. <br />Hernandez seconded to amend the Ordinance to add a new Section 3 as <br />was posted, and to correct the typographical error in Section 3 <br />day-to-day activities, which Section reads as follows: "That the <br />Director position for which funding is provided in this Ordinance <br />shall be an employee of the City to serve as liaison between and <br />among the City and the San Marcos Electric utility Board. The <br />Director, in directing the day-to-day activities of the Electric <br />utility, shall be a department head within the City's organizational <br />structure, and shall be responsible to the City Manager of the <br />City." The Council approved the amendment unanimously. The Council <br />then voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on second <br />reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A LETTER AGREEMENT <br />WITH DIVERSIFIED UTILITY CONSULTANTS, INC.; AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> <br />* Mr. Hart was not present at this meeting. <br />** Mr. Guerra was present at 7:53 p.m. <br />
