49 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JULY 8, 1991 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tem Ronald K. Hart Council Members Billy G. G. Phillips, Martha Latta and others. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Charter Review Commission. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Margie Hernandez, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to the Sunset Advisory Commission. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Soila Rodriguez and Mr. Hernandez moved to appoint Ernest Hernandez, which passed unanimously. The remaining two appointments of Mr. Guerra and Ms. Kissler will be scheduled for July 22. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the Building Code Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Mayor Morris moved to reappoint Bill Howle and reappoint Herb Sanchez and Mr. Hart moved to appoint Shae Kibby, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration three appointments to the zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Mr. Moore moved to reappoint Celia Morgan and reappoint Susan Tilka and Mr. Plummer moved to appoint Dr. Howard Tidwell, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of confirmation of the city Manager's appointment to the Personnel Appeals Board. Mr. Gilley requested confirmation of Albert Sierra. Mr. Moore moved to confirm the appointment of Albert Sierra and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced a public hearing on an annexation, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO THE CITY A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 42.47 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED SOUTH AND ADJACENT TO THE AIRCRAFT APRON OF THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, CALDWELL COUNTY, TEXAS, THIS LAND BEING LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF THE CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUNDARIES; APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR THIS TRACT; EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE THIS TRACT; GRANTING TO THE INHABITANTS OF THIS TRACT ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF THE CITY; * Mr. Guerra and Ms. Kissler were not present at this meeting.
