I I I 61 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APRIL 2, 1979 Present: Robert L. Cavazos Mayor Council Members Ted Breihan John A. Hansen Bob Hyatt Berry R. James Kenneth E. Sutton City Manager City Attorney City Secretary Director of Community Services Director of Public Works Director of Public Safety Royal Dunlap Barbara Jean Edwards Doriss Hambrick Albert Sierra Ray Kotowski Robert Minnie Also Present: Jeff Watkins, Jerri Martin, Erica Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gonzales, Frank Contreras, Russell Ayers, David Ybarra, Jorge Cruz-Aedo, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Pryatel, Gilbert Tenorio, Johnnie Armstead, George Dimmick, Carlos Rodriguez, Frances Emery, Chris Bishop, Gary Bond, Ken Kraus, Celestino Mendez, Austin Curlee, Terry Roberts, and others. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and issued proclamations in observance of the Lions' Club Eye Bank Program and Library Week. Mr. Hansen moved that the minutes of the special meetings held at 5:00 and 7:30 p.m. on March 22, 1979 be approved as presented. Mr. James seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Hansen, Cavazos, Hyatt, James, Sutton NAY: None ABSTAIN: Breihan. Mr. James moved to correct the minutes of the regular meeting held Monday, March 26, 1979 by the addition on page 2 following the caption of the ordinance amending the General Zoning Ordinance by inserting the following wording: "Mr. Sutton moved the ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. James seconded the motion which passed unanimously." Mr. James continued his motion to approve the minutes as corrected. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Hansen, Hyatt, James, Sutton, Breihan NAY: None ABSTAIN: Cavazos. Mr. Cavazos submitted the name of Mr. Everado Duran to serve an unexpired term created by the resignation of Dr. Robert Gratz from the Urban Renewal Commission. Mr. Hansen moved the appoint- ment of Mr. Duran be confirmed. Mr. James_seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGU- LATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF A 33.345 ACRE TRACT IN T. J. CHAMBERS SURVEY, FROM "R-I" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "D" (MULTIFAMILY).
