64 REGULAR MEErING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JUNE 28, 1976 Present: Mayor Emmie Craddock Councilmen Frank T. Arredondo Ted Breihan Robert L. Cavazos John Hansen Berry R. Brittain; Alvin Langhamer; James Broussard; Willard Stouffer; Gregory Perez; Mr. & Mrs John Morrisset; Mr. & Mrs. Phil Hardin; Jim Alvis; Bob Derrick; Melissa Millecam; Rowe Ray; Gary Bond; and others. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held June l4, 1976 were approved on motion ~f Mr. Cavazos and second of Mr. Han~en. I The Mayor introduced a request by Mr. H.M. Brittain for permits to temporarily locate two mobile homes on Lots 36 and 40 of the A.M. Ramsay Addition, Lockhart and First streets. She noted that the Planning and Zoning Commission had recom- mended approval. Gregory Perez came before the Council with a duly executed "ower of attorney instrument giving him the authority to object to the location of rr~bile homes on the lots on behalf of Albert M. Walker, owner of Lot 34 in the Addition. Mr. Arredondo moved the request be denied. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion, .~ich passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced a request for a permit to operate pool tables at 100 N. Guadalupe Street. The applicant, Pllil Hardin, was present. Mr. John Morrisset, owner of two businesses on the Square, informed the Council that the currently existing\pool-hall on the Square created problems for the merchants in the area in the form of trash strewn on the street~ and sidewalks and inadequate parking. Mr. Cavazos moved the permit be approved. TEXAS, / AMENDING SECTION 19 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTR!CTS / THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY-23,_ 1966 (VOL. 32) TO PROVillE FOR THE APPOINTMENT BY THE MAYOR OF TWO ALTERNATE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF AJ)Jl]STMENT TO SERVE IN THE ABSENCE OF ONE OR MORE REGULAR MEMBERS. I Mr. Hansen moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: AN ORDINANCE DEl'ERMINING AND FIXING THE MAXIMUM SCHEDULES OF RATES TO BE CHARGED BY ENTEX, INC., IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FOR NATURAL GAS AND NATURAL GAS SERVICE FURNISHED BY IT TO RESillENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL CONSUMERS, CONTAINING DEFINITIONS, FIXING THE EFFECTD1E DATES FOR GAS RATES PRESCRIBED IN THIS ORDINANCE, MAKING MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT.
