Mr. Cavazos moved they be amended, as re~uested by Councilman Breihan, to correct a statement recorded on page two, line 11, to place a period after the word "area", and to begin the next sentence as follows: "Commercial allows sales . . .", and to provide for the motion and unanimous vote on page three to approve second read.ing of an ordinance changing the zoning of property located in the Municipal Airport Subdivision. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously I The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a re~uest for a change in the zoning of 1. 406 acres out of the J .M. Veramendi League Number Two from "c" to "C-2". Mr. Gene Phillips, President of A~uarena, Inc., came before the Council to re~uest the change. He stated that his corporation had tentative plans for use .of the property as a restaurant in the future. Mr. Sutton stated he did not want to act on the re~uest vi tbout having first seen plans for use of the property, especially parking. Mr. Jamesl reminded the Council that parking would have to be approved before an occupancy permit was issued by the City and that no objection had been received to the change. Mr. Arredondo pointed out that parking would be a problem on Ed J.L. Green Drive which runs along the side of the property and is the only entrance to Springlake Hills Estates. The Mayor read an Ordinance, the caption of which is as follows: I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION JiliD USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES ANDTJLAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 1. 406 ACRES OUT OF THE J .M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NUMBER TWO, LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF SESSOM DRIVE AND ED J .L. GREEN DRIVE, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL). Mr. Breihan moved the Ordinance be approved on first reaidng. Mr. Hansen seeonded the motion. On roll call, the fOllowing vote was recorded: AYE: Breihan, Craddock, Hansen, James NAY: Arredondo, Cavazos, Sutton.
