41 REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MAY 23, 1977 Present: Frank T. Arredondo Mayor Council Members Ted Breihan Robert L. Cavazos Emmie Craddock John Hansen Berry R. James Kenneth E. Sutton I City Manager City Attorney City Secretary Director, Finance Director, Public Works Director, Personnel Albert Sierra Charles E. Evans Doriss Hambrick Earl T. Williams William T. Friedrich Charles R. Lummus Also present: Bill Dibrell; Boy Scout Troop 127 from Wimberley; H.H. Hageman; Gordon Thompson; Joe Kohut; H.A. Yarbrough, Jr.; Charles Varnell; J.B. Roberts; Allen King; Pat Black; Jerri Martin; Jake Krauskopf; Terry Roberts; Gary Bond; and others. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Minutes of the Special Meeting held May 5, 1977, were approved on motion of Mr. Cavazos and second of Mr. James. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held May 16,1977, were approved on motion of Mr. Hansen and second of Mr. Cavazos. I Mr. Breihan moved to reappoint Mrs. Frances Emery, Mr. Curtis Jenkins and Mr. Preston Connalley to the Environmental Advisory Board. Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor opened a public hearing to consider a request for a change in the zoning of Lots 3, 4, 5, 6 and the north parts of Lots 2 and 7 of the proposed Oakwood Addition from "R-l" to "C". Mr. Hilmar Hageman came before the Council to request the change arbitrarily initiated by the Planning and Zoning Commission. No opposition wa.s presented. The Mayor closed the hearing and read an ordinance having the following caption: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AJm USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF APPROXIMATELY 5. 5 ACRES CONSISTING OF LOTS 3, 4, ~; 6 AND THE NORTH PARTS OF LOTS 2 AND 7 OF THE PROPOSED OAKWOOD ADDITION, LOCATED ACROSS RANCH ROAD 12 FROM CRESTWOOD CENTER, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "c" (COMMERCIAL). Dr. Craddock moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor opened a public hearing to consider allocations for Revenue Sharing Entitlement #8 funds.
