Varner; Hugh Stansell; Bob Guerin; Ray Stone I Mayor Pro Tem King called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held April 22, 1974, were approved on motion of Mr. DeLa Rosa and second of Mr. Flores, with Mr. Cunningham abstaining. The Minutes of the Special Meeting held May 1, 1974, were approved on motion of Mr. DeLa Rosa and second of Dr. Tauch, with Dr. Craddock and Mr. Cunningham abstaining. Councilman Flores presented plaques of appreciation to outgoing Councilmen DeLa Rosa, King and Tauch. Councilmen-elect Ted Breihan, John Hansen and Kenneth E. Sutton were sworn into office by the City Attorney. Councilman Dibrell moved Councilman Flores be designated temporary chairman to conduct the election of the Mayor. Dr. Craddock seconded the motion, which passed with six votes in favor of the motion and Mr. Flores abstaining. I Mr. Flores called for nominations for Mayor. Mr. Breihan nominated Councilman Bill Dibrell. Mr. Flores nominated Dr. Emmie Craddock. There being no other nominations, Mr. Flores called for a show of hands of those voting for Dr. Craddock. Councilmen Cunningham,.~loresand Hansen responded with votes for Dr. Craddock. Mr. Flores asked for those casting votes for Mr. Dibrell to respond by a show of hands. Those Councilmen voting for Mr. Dibrell were Councilmen Breihan, Dibrell and Sutton. There being a tie vote, Councilmen discussed the matter and Mr. Flores called again for a vote by show of hands. The results of the vote areas follows: CRADDOCK: DIBRELL: Cunningham, Craddock, Flores, Hansen Breihan, Dibrell, Sutton Dr. Emmie Craddock was then'named Mayor and assumed the chair.
