<br />Mayor Herbert Yarbrough called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
<br />
<br />The Rev. James E. Foltsi Rec~or of St. Mark's Church, gave the
<br />Invocation.
<br />
<br />The Minutes of March 27, 1972 were approved as presented, on
<br />motion of Mr. King and second of Mr. Etheredge.
<br />
<br />City Attorney Albert Walker administered the Oath of Office to
<br />newly elected Councilmen, Eddy A. Etheredge and Wi I I iam l.
<br />Cunningham.
<br />
<br />Mr. Yarbrough presented an orchid to retiring Councilwoman,
<br />Frances D. Emery, Place 4, with a tribute to "a lovely lady,
<br />and a hardworking, loyal member of the City Council".

<br />Election of a Mayor being the next order of business, Mr. Yarbrough
<br />cal led for nominations. Dr, Tauch moved that Luciano H. Flores
<br />be named Mayor. Mr. King seconded the motion, and on 1'01 I cal I,
<br />the fol lowing vote was recorded:
