Hardeman <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and opened the <br />first public hearing on annexation, Mr. Yarbrough presented the <br />City~s purpose in initiating annexation of areas in Bltiebonnet Hills <br />and Forest Hills Additions not now within the City Limits. <br /> <br />The Mayor asked if anyone would like to speak to, the question. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr. James D. Smith of 1011 Bluebonnet Drive asked if the extension <br />of Bluebonnet marked "Private Drive" was scheduled to be paved when <br />brought into the City Limits. The Mayor- said no plans had been made <br />for the drive at present, arid it would have to be investigated to <br />determine whether it is a private drive or a dedicated street. <br /> <br />No one else came forward to speak for or against the annexation, and <br />the Mayor declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a); second public hearing on annexation, and explained <br />the City's purpose in initiating annexation of property on North <br />LBJ Drive (Old Wimberley Road) owned by Mrs. K.S. Hardeman and <br />Mrs. S.S. Smith. <br />Mrs. Hardeman came before the Council with a plat of the area <br />showing roads her father had dedicated totheCoiinty manyY~ar!\,ago. <br />Mrs. Hardeman, asked that the name "Steen Road/'; named for he~' father, <br />be retained when brought into the City Limits, and the 40-ft. road <br />at the back of the property be named "Barnes Street" in honor of her <br />mother's family. Mrs. Hardeman said she had no objection to the <br />annexation of the property by the City, but wanted assurance on the <br />names of the streets. <br />The Council agreed by common consent to grant Mrs. 'Hardeman's request. <br /> <br />No one else came forward to speak for or against the annexation. and <br />the Mayor declared the second public hearing closed. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the first of two public hearings on zoning. He <br />explained that Saul Flores had requested a change of ~on1ng on <br />Lot 1, Blk. 4, Dan McKie 1st Subdivision (804 Gravel St.) from <br />"D" (multi-family) to "M" (mixed.). <br /> <br />Mrs. Saul Flores said she wanted to open a flower shop <br />
