REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, SEPTEMBER 22, 1969 Present: Mayor Ellis Serur Councilmen: Emmie Craddock, Ph.D. Frank Contreras, jr. Ronald J. Worrell Visitors: Warren Freodiger, Mike A~l'uirre, Willard Thorf5, Alfred Borm, Bill Thomas, Bob Watkins, Jerri Veidt, Charles Martin, LannyCravy, Bob Barton, Joe Ca.acho The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Minutes of the September 8, 1969 meeting were approved as presented, with Dr. Craddock and Mayor Serur abstaining because of absence at the September ~ meet~ng~ The Mayor introduced an ordinance andteadthe caption: I AN ORDINANCE REGULATING PARKING OF VEHICLES ON THAT PORTION or LOOP 82 (ALSO KNOWN AS COLORADO STREET) BETWEEN MOON AND SESSOMS DRIVE; REPEALING ALL ORDI- NANCES IN CONFLICT; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY PROVIS- ION; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION; AND fIXING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF Dr. Craddock moved adoption of the Ordinance; Mr. Smi'th seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Craddock, Contreras, Dannelley, Flores, Serur, Smith, Zavesky NAY: None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. A plat of the property which accomf5anied the petition for annexation received September 8, was examined. Mr. Zavesky moved approval of the annexation ordinance on the firs~reading. Mr. Smith se~onded the motion and on rollcall. the following vote was recorded: I AY E: Craddock, Contreras.. Dannelley, Flores, Seror, Smi th, Zavesky NAY: None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed on first ~eadin9~, Mr. Warren Freudiger, Executive Director of the San Marcos Housing Authority, gave a progress report on construction of the 125 new housing units. He stated the project was 76% completed, and on schedule. Dedication of the new housing units could be expected early in January, Mr. Freudiger stated.
