'1,-:- REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JANUARY 26, 1970 Present: Mayor Ellis Serur Councilmen: Emmie Craddock, Ph.D. Frank Contreras, jr. Ronald J. Dannelley Luciano H. Flores Jerry Zavesky I Ci ty Ma nager City Secretary Richard G. Bean Dorothy O. Worrell Absent: Councilman Hollis W. Smith Visitors: Sam Cathcart, jr., G.R, flores, M. Aguirre, Pete Alvaradoi Martin Cherry, Bill Veidt, Walter M. Kidd,. W.C. Carson, Jerri Martin, Charles Martin The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mr. Zavesky moved approval of the Minutes of January 12, 1970, as presented. Mr. Dannelley seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. I The Mayor introduced and read aloud a Resolution commemorating the death ,of Mark Whittenberg, and his ,service to the City and the community. Councilman Flores moved approval of the Resolution. Councilman Zavesky seconded the motion, which passed ulJanimously. A copy of the Resolution is attached and made a part of the Minutes. Mr. Dannelley moved final adoption of an Ordinance annexing ~he~arner property on Uhland Road. Dr. "Craddock seconded the mo,tion and on roll call, the following vote wasr,ecorded: AY E: Craddock, Contreras" Dannelley i Flores, Serur, Zavesky NAY: None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. Councilman Zavesky moved adoption of an Ordinance authorizing an increase in gas r'ates, on second reading. Councilman Contr,eras seconded the motion, a'nd on rollcall, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Craddock, Contreras, Dannelley, Flores, Zavesky NAY: None I The Mayor declared the Ordinance passed on second reading. W.C. Carson appeared before the Council to request approval of a preliminary subdivision plat of Block 10, Sunset Acres. Mr. Flores asked when ~he street would be paved. Mr. Carson said it would be paved when the houses were bUllt. Mr. Contreras enquired about plans for drainage. Mr. Carson said final plans would conform to the Subdivision Ordinance _ that the present request was for approval of preliminary plans.
