RECESSED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APRIL 21.1970 Present: Mayor Hollis W . Smith I Councilmen: Frank Contreras, jr. Emmie Craddock, Ph. D. Luciano H. Worrell Visitors: Bill Veidt, Lanny Cravy The Mayor called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. The Mayor introduced an ordinance and read thll. caption: AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZ- ING AND DIRECTING ,THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY I Cou~cilman ~o~trerasmoved adoption of the Ordinan6e setting a public hearing on the proposed annexation on May 4, at 5:30 p.m. Dr. Craddock seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vot,e was recorded: AYE: Contreras, Craddock, Flores,cKing, Smith, Yarbrough NAY: None The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. The Mayor introduced two Resolutions pertaining to authorization for signatures on documents dealing with constructionoof the waste water treatment plant and water 'and sewer improvements, Dr. Craddock moved approval of a Resolution authorizing Mayor Hollis, W. Smith to, s~gn documents forjconstruction of the waste water treatm~nt plant. Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Resolution is attached as a part of the Minutes. Dr. Craddock moved approval of a Resolution aithorizing Mayor Holl:is,W., Smith to sign documents relative to construction of water and seWer impr,ovements. Mr. Flores seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Resolution is attached as a part of the Minutes. I The Mayor introduced an ordinance annexing Tanglewood #3, a subdivis- ion owned by W.S. Rader. Dr. Craddock moved adoption of the Ordinance on first reading. Mr. Contreras seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: NAY: None AYE: Contreras, Craddock, Flores, King, Smith, Yarbrough, Zavesky The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed on first reading.
