Carson, Moffett Adams, Matt Ottea, <br />Jerri Martin, LannyCravy <br /> <br />The Mayor~alledthe meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Minutes of May 4, May 8 and May 11, 1970'were approved as <br />presented, on motion of Mr. ZaVesky and second of Mr. King. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock moved that Al Aranda, Roy Buffingtofl, Herman Korff, <br />Ruben Ruiz and H.G. Scrutchin be reappointed to the Board of <br />Equalization. Mr. Contreras seconded the' motion, which passed <br />unanimously,' <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud a letter .from Councilman Ross King concerning <br />his ownership,of property within'the Urban Renewal area, see attached. <br />Mr. Zavesky introduced a Resolutioh and moved its approval. Caption <br />of the Resolution, which is made a part of the Minutes, isas follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE DISCLOSURE BY MR'. ROSS KING, <br />COUNCILMAN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THECITY Of SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, OF OWNERSHIP OF CERTAI N PROPERTI ES' LOCATED WITH] N <br />PROPOSED URBAN RENEWAL AREAS WITHI N THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AND FINDING NO VIOLATION OF THE PU&lIC INTEREST <br />IN SAID REGARD <br /> <br />Mr. Flores seconded the motion and on roll call, the following <br />vote was rec'orded: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Contreras, Craddock, Flores, Smith, Yarbrough; Zavesky <br />None <br />King <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Resolution Passed and Approved. <br /> <br />Jim T. Brown, E~ecutive Director of the Urba~ Renewal Agenc9, <br />appeared before the Council to give a progress report. He said <br />funds for acquisition of property in the "River Project" area <br />would be in hand within a week. Evaluations made prior to the <br />May 15 flood would be used for purchase. He said the Department <br /> <br />of Housing and Urban Development had offered to make an exception <br />and amend the program so property in "EI Molino" project could be <br />acquired in July. Mr. Brown said a public hearing on "EI Molino" <br />
