Councilman Yarbrough gave the Invocation. Minutes of the May 18'and'May 25 meeting~ were approved as pre- sented, on motion of Dr. Craddock and second of Mr. Zavesky. II The M~yo~opened a public h~aring on a requesi for change of zonlng. Mr. F~ank K. Pennington, owner of Pennington Cake Shop, came before the Cou.ncil to explain that he requested a change of ZOning from "'0'" (multi-family) to "M" (mixed) in order to expand his business to offer service for small parties at 422 West Hutchison. He would make no "bange in the building, except in rearranging interiors. No objection was offered by neighboring property-owners. Adequate parking was discussed, with satisfactory arrangements guaranteed. Mr." Zavesky moved that' the zoning on the property at 422 West Hutchison Street be changed from "0" to "M". Mr. Yarbrough moved tbatthe Coungil accept. and approve the petition for annexation. Mr. Flores seconded the motion and on ~oll call, the following vote was recorded: I AYE: Contreras, Craddock, Flores, Smith, Yarbrough,~avesky NAY: None The Mayor declared the motion carried. The Mayor appointed Dr. Craddock, Mr. Yarbrough, Mr. Zaveski and himself as a committee to discuss with members of the Masonic Lodge the proposed change in the property-line at,the organizatiOn's Belvin Street property.
