Lloyd Reap, Mrs. Helen Carnes, <br />Mr. & Mrs. Don Trepganier, Mrs. Annie <br />Gr"en,wood <br /> <br />The Mayor called th" meeting to order at 7.: 30 . p. m. <br /> <br />Councilman Yarbrough gave the Invocation. <br /> <br />Minutes of the May 18'and'May 25 meeting~ were approved as pre- <br />sented, on motion of Dr. Craddock and second of Mr. Zavesky. <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />The M~yo~opened a public h~aring on a requesi for change of zonlng. <br />Mr. F~ank K. Pennington, owner of Pennington Cake Shop, came before <br />the Cou.ncil to explain that he requested a change of ZOning from <br />"'0'" (multi-family) to "M" (mixed) in order to expand his business <br />to offer service for small parties at 422 West Hutchison. He would <br />make no "bange in the building, except in rearranging interiors. <br />No objection was offered by neighboring property-owners. Adequate <br />parking was discussed, with satisfactory arrangements guaranteed. <br /> <br />Mr." Zavesky moved that' the zoning on the property at 422 West <br />Hutchison Street be changed from "0" to "M". Mr. Contreras seconded <br />the ,motion and on, r:oll call, tb"following vote \,\as . recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Contreras, Craddock, Flores, Smith,Yarbrough, Z~vesky <br />NAY: !:'lone <br /> <br />The ~ayor decl~r~d th" motion carried, <br /> <br />A petition for annex~fion of a 167-acretr<lGt owned by Thermon <br />I ndu~trial Development Corporation was received by the Council. <br />Mr. Yarbrough moved tbatthe Coungil accept. and approve the petition <br />for annexation. Mr. Flores seconded the motion and on ~oll call, the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AYE: Contreras, Craddock, Flores, Smith, Yarbrough,~avesky <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />The Mayor appointed Dr. Craddock, Mr. Yarbrough, Mr. Zaveski and <br />himself as a committee to discuss with members of the Masonic Lodge <br />the proposed change in the property-line at,the organizatiOn's <br />Belvin Street property. <br />
