Kyle; Marvin Wilke; Dr, Eugene Payne; <br />Jerri Martin; Terry Roberts; Melissa Millecam; Jim Cunningham; <br />and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p,m. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the R~gular M~eting held June 23, 1975, wer~ approv~d on motion <br />of Mr. Sutton and second of Mr. Hansen. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Special Meeting held June 27, 1975, were approved on motion <br />of Mr. Sutton and second of Mr, Hansen, with Mr, Sutton abstaining from the vote. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Special Meeting held June 30, 1975, were approved on motion <br />of Mr. Sutton and second of Mr, Arredondo, <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in the <br />zoning of approximately 5,7~ acres out of the J,M. Veramendi League Number Two, <br />from "R-1" to "C". She reported that th~ request had been made by the Planning <br />and Zoning Administrator to bring the property in conformity with the Comprehensive <br />Plan and to reflect current land usage; and that the request had the approval of <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission, There were no objections presented to the <br />requested change, Mayor Craddock closed the hearing and read the caption of an <br />Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND <br />RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS',' STRUCTURES AND LAND, <br />DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL, 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF APPROXIMATELY <br />5.79 ACRES OUT OF J ,M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NUMBER TWO, LOCATED BETWEEN <br />I.H, 35, LOOP 82, UHLAND ROAD, AND THE SOUTHERNMOST BOUNDARY LINE OF A <br />20 ACRE TRACT BELONGING TO MR, WELGE, FROM "R-1" (SINGLE FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL) TO "c" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved approval of the Ordinance on first reading. Mr. Arredondo <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Breihan requested the staff refrain from issuing any <br />building permit for the undeveloped portion of th~ property involved until the <br />drainage problem on Mill Street was corrected, On roll call, the vote the approve <br />the motion was unanimous. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced a request for the renewal of a temporary permit to locate <br />a mobile home on Lot 4, Block 1 of the City View Addition, ll06 Gravel Street, <br />presented by John U. DeLeon and Jesse Lopez, There were no objections made the <br />the issuance of the permit, Mr, Arredondo moved the request be granted. Mr. Hansen <br />seconded the motion, Mr. Breihan ~pked if any restrictions existed for placement <br />of mobile homes in the flood plain, The City Attorney replied that the Flood Plain <br />Ordinance contemplated only permanent structures. Mr, Breihan requested the permit <br />for mobile homes placed in the flood plain contain the information that the City <br />was not liable for damages to mobile homes caused by flooding, On roll call, the <br />motion to approve issuance of th~ temporary permit was unanimously approved, <br />
