Marshall; <br />Terry Roberts; Melissa Millecam; Juan Palomo; Albert Sierra; <br />Jim Cunningham; Albert Walker, Jr.; and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held July 14, 1975, were introduced. for <br />consideration. Mr. Sutton requested they be amended with regard to the discussion <br />described on page three, paragraph 6 about the extension of Peter Garza Street, <br />to show that the Council favored the building of the street, but the nature of <br />the street to be built had yet to be decided. Dr. Craddock moved the Minutes be <br />amended as Mr. Sutton requested. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. Mr. Sutton moved approval of the Minutes, as amended. Mr. Hansen <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Breihan requested a Special <br />Meeting be scheduled for Monday, August 4, at 7:30 p.m. to further discuss and <br />possibly take action on the street in question. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock announced that two City employees, Mr. Steven Bauernfeind and <br />Mr. Raul Rodriguez, had completed an American Public Works Association training <br />course, and presented a certificate of completion to Mr. Rodriguez who was present. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in zoning <br />of approximately 2.16 acres out of the J.M. Veramendi League Number Two, from <br />"c" to "K-l". The applicant, Jack Welge, was not present. Mr. Charles Suckle, <br />representative of the Planning and Zoning Commission, was present to state that <br />the Commission recommended the change. There were no objections presented. The <br />Mayor closed the hearing and read the caption of the Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION. 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND <br />RESTRICTS THE LOCATION. AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, <br />DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF APPROXIMATELY <br />2.16 ACRES OUT OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NUMBER TWO (THE SOUTHWEST <br />CORNER OF THE WELGE 20-ACRE TRACT) LOCATED BETWEEN LOOP 82 AND 1]IILAND <br />ROAD, FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL). <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved approval of the Ordinance on first reading. Mr. Arredondo <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE.. CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, SUSPENDING THE ENFORCEMENT <br />OF THAT CERTAIN ORDINANCE NO. 1974-13, KNOWN AS THE MOBILE HOME PARKS <br />ORDINANCE AND REQUIRING MOBILE HOME OWNERS TO COMPLY WITH APPLICABLE <br />PROVISIONS OF THE SOUTHERN STANDARD PLUMBING CODE, 1975 EDITION AND THE <br />NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1975 EDITION FOR THE DURATION OF SUCH SUSPENSION; <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />The City Attorney suggested the Council delete the words "the connection of" from <br />line two of Part 2 of the Ordinance. Mr. Hansen moved approval of the Ordinance, <br />as amended, on emergency basis. Mr. Flores seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />
