187 REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JANUARY 26, 1976 Present: Mayor Emmie Craddock Councilmen Frank T. Arredondo Ted Breihan Luciano H. Friedrich Also present: Dr. Willard B. Stouffer; Norman Yarbrough; Miss Virginia Hightower; Dr. Jean Smith; Shirley Wickersham; Frank Contrerras; Terry Lighthouse; Ken Krause; Bob Derrick; Jim Byrn; James Broussard; Jerri Martin; Melissa Millecam; Rowe Ray; Paul Alexander; Terry Roberts; Albert Sierra; and others. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Craddock issued a proclamation naming Dental Health Week. Mr. Sutton moved to approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held January 12, 1976. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. Mr. Breihan requested the Minutes be corrected to reflect his vote against the motion to approve an Ordinance authorizing the sale of Urban Renewal Parcel No. 10-1 to Rodney Baughn. The motion to approve the Minutes, as corrected, was unanimously approved',r I II I I Mr. Arredondo moved approval of the Minutes of a Special Meeting held January 19, 1976. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion, which passed with five votes in favor and Mr. Hansen in abstention due to his ansence at that meeting. Mr. Arredondo moved to appoint Dr. Willard B. Stouffer to fill an unexpired term on the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Hansen moved to appoint Mr. Norman Yarbrough to a full term on the Belvin Street Histori.cal Di.strict Board of Review. Mr. Arredondo seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Sutton moved to confirm the appointment of the following persons Senior Citizens Advisory Board: Frances Emery, Sherry Taack, Amelia Mary Castameda, A.A. Grusendorf, Joe G. Rodriguez and Thomas Yoakum. seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. to the Cruz, Mr. Hansen ~!iss Virginia Hightower presented the annual report of the Bicentennial Commission and outlined the activities scheduled for the 1976 celebration of the Bicentennial. Mr. Hansen moved approval of a request for a temporary permit to locate a mobile home on Lot 4, Block 7 of the C.D. Wallace Addition, 208 Laredo Street. The applicant was the Reverend Samuel Montoya reRresenting the Pentecostal Local Church. Mr. Arredondo seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Councilman Sutton stated his concern that the Council was possibly granting too many mobile home permits. I Mr. Arredondo moved approval of the renewal of a permit to locate a mobile home on Lots 10 and 11, Block 5 of the C.D. Wallace Addition, 220 Tampico Street, as requested by Mr. Raymond Lozano. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
