REGULAR MEETING OF SEPTElffi~R 15, 1954 On the 15th day of Septerrmer, A. D., 1954, at 2:00o~c1ock P. lvI., the City Council met at the City Rall in San Marcos, Texas, with the following members present and participating:, 21 Frank 3. Dietterich, Mayor Calvin M. Allen, Alderman Coy De Viney, Alderman g~~ Beecroft, Alderman Hall'Old G. S-lUi th, Alderman Others present: I W. G. Barbee A. Y. McWilliams Paul Rogers E:i'nes t Morgan C. B. Johil.son Joe Lodovick John Smith A quorum being present, the l,~ayor called the meeting to order and the rollowing transpired: Ernest Morgan, City Attorney, opened the rollowing election returns and read them aloud: Precinct 10 - Library Building - For -83 Precinct 11 - Carl Smith's Residence - For - 58 Precinct 12 - COlli~ty Court House - For - 36 Against-86 A@inat -59 Against-5 Precinct 13 - City Hall - For - 58 Against-4o Totals For - 235 Against-190 The following orclinance was then presented to the Cou:'1cil ror adoption. Alderman smith made a motion that the ordinance canvassing returns and declaring result of election be adopted. Alderman Beecroft seconded the cnetion. A vote was taj{en which resulted =animously in faver of the motion. I RESOLUTION CA1NAS3ING RETURNS AND DECLARING R~SULT OF ELECTION THE ~TAl'E OF TBXAS COUN1'Y OF RAYS cn'Y OF' SAN >LARC03 On this the 15th day of September,1954, the City Council of the City of San Earcos, Tex.as, convened iIiregular session at the regular meeting place thereof with the following members present, to-wit: Frank E. Dietterich, Mayor, Calvin M. Allen; Coy De Viney; Aldermen Harold G. Smith; S. R. Beecroft; Ann, Ziemke, City Secretary I and the following absent: Frank D~ Hill, Jr., constituting a quorum present, when, among other proceedings had, were the following: Alderman Smith introQuced a resulution and moved its adoption. The motion was seconded b~ Alderman Beecroft. The motion carrying with it the adoption of the resolution pre~ vailed by the following vote: Ayes: Aldermen Smith, De Viney, Beecroft, Allen Noes: None.
