The minutes of the <br />meetings of November lOth and November 24th were approved, <br /> <br />Mrs. J. Lloyd Read appeared before the Council to discuss further <br />the Right-of~Way for mfl 12 (Moo:re Street). Mrs. Read stated that the <br />10% increase the Council had allowed over the original appraisal was <br />still not acceptable. She informed the Council that she' had contacted <br />two app:raisers from out-of-town and their estimates on rebuilding her <br />wall even made her price look small. Mrs. Read said that she must have <br />at least $1,500 and the City to rebuild the wall, or $2,500 and "forget <br />the wall ", She wished to thank the Council for their cooperation and <br />interest in her problem. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The COilunittee for Perpetual Care of the San Marcos Cemetery Asso- <br />ciation came before the Council to discuss the possibility of perpetual <br />care at the cemetery. Mr. Jack Williams stated that the Cemetery <br />Organization wished to negotiate with the City on this matter. He <br />informed the Council tha~ in his opinion, an election would have to be <br />held with each person owning a lot in the cemetery having one vote, If <br />the majority voted for perpetual care, pa:rticipation would be on a volun- <br />tary basis. A minimum charge of 20~ per square foot is req~ired by la~, <br />The City would administer the funds as trustee, Mr. Charlie Bass wished <br />to thank the City for its part in making the cemetery look as good as it <br />does. After other discussion it was the nleasure of the Council that the <br />City Manager, with the help of Mr, Henry Kyle, look into the matter and <br />prepare a brief concerning all regulations to be p:resented to the Council <br />at'the next regula:r meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Charlie Bass requested the Council to conside:r erecting "No <br />Parking" signs on Fredericksburg St:reet between Hopkins and Pat Garrison. <br />The Council noted the request and informed Mr. Bass that they would dis- <br />cuss the matter and take definite action, <br /> <br />'The City Manage~ present~d a report on RM 12. It was noted that <br />only 20;6 of the property owners have accepted the appraisal.. After a <br />lengthy diSCUSSion of the status and position of each of the prope:rty <br />
