Tickle <br />James Ford I <br />Mr. Davis <br />and ot:1ers <br /> <br />The ;neeti:1g was called to order ty the Mayo:!'.. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The regular order of business was dispensed ~ith to hear the <br />spokesman for 8. delega-t,ion of citizens who wished to protest the moving <br />or t:le Phillips u6611 Bulk Plant, now located at Union and San Antonio <br />Streets, to the rear of the Phillips "6611 Station at Houston street and <br />Martindale Road. After hearing several of the citizens present register <br />an objection to the move, ila'. Fred Hindenkamp, one of the owners of the <br />C. &, H. Oil Company, the local Phillips "66" Distributor, requested the <br />l','1ayor and Council to permit him to T;,d.thdraw the application. Thi s <br />roquest was complied with and the matter closed. <br /> <br />The minutes of the meeting of July 12, 1960 were approved. <br /> <br />The Council discussed the need for additional water pressure <br />at the:.: :~jcstwood Corporation to get approval on the sprinkler system. <br />The City iAanager was instructed to cOlltinue his investigation cnd to <br />take-such action 3S was appropriate to assure adequate prossure. <br /> <br />City Manager Fuller reported to the Council that Mr.. RJY <br />Lane has been apP"'oved for employment through March 31, 1961. Mr. Lane <br />is eligible ror retirement under TMRS and it is necessary that his <br />continued emploYiD6.nt be reported to the R.etirement System office.. <br /> <br />Alderman rlillburn introduced an ordinance and moved its <br />adoption, which motion :N3S sGcondod by Alderman Tuttle.. The ordinance <br />was read in full and is entitled: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN OiIDIN,qNCE ADOPTED THE 10th <br />DAY OF MAY 1960 TO PHOVWE FOH THE ISOiUANCE OF <br />ADDITIONAL GENEHAL FUND CURRENT EXPENOiE WARRANTS IN <br />THE AMOUNT Of $15,000.00 FOB THE PUBPOSE OF PAYING <br />CURRENT O~'EHATING EXPEN(jc:; DUHING THE FISCAL YEAH <br />1960-61; PROVIDT~G FOR THE PAYME~T OF THE PRINCIPAL <br />AND INTEHE(jT OF (jAW WARRANTS <br />
